No matter what time of the day you walk through it... you'll find a couple of people with their cameras out... taking photos of the walls that pave this little lane.

I never knew that Ponggal was such an important festival. When we were growing up, we knew it as the day we prayed and ate Ponggal(sweet rice pudding) and Kacang (boiled, salted chickpeas). Only started realising after getting married to Kv, that there's much more to this festival than just the good food. :)

It was a 40 minute drive to the Shiva Vishnu temple at Carrum Downs, so she had to make sure her parents were up by 6:45am.

The temple wasn't so packed when they arrived. Lil'D watched everything quietly. What a special time it is for us, because tonight she will be taking her first flight and tomorrow for the very first time she will be meeting many of our family members in Malaysia. And the icing on the cake is: we will all also be heading to Sai Baba's ashram for Lil'D's first darshan of Swami (at least in this lifetime)!
